The meaning of the name “One Elephant” pays homage to an old fable called “The Blind Men and the Elephant”. In the story, six blind men come across a structure they don’t know is an elephant.

Each one feels a part of the structure – One approaches the trunk, and thinks it’s a thick snake. The other approaches the leg and believes it’s a tree trunk. Another feels the side and believes it’s a wall. It is only by listening to one another that they put the pieces together and realize that in fact, it’s not a snake, a tree trunk, or a wall, but an elephant.
